Dr Paul Rose from New Zealand jetted into town last week to share the aspects of keratoconus fit and how to maximize the potential for a successful keratoconus GP fitting. In this seminar, Dr Paul Rose has attempted to take the intuitiveness and learning, and express it in a way that would be useful for other GP keratoconus fitters to use. Rose K lens is a specially designed lens for keratoconus condition. Keratoconus (conical cornea) is a fairly common, progressive disorder in which the cornea assumes an irregular conical shape.

Dr Paul Rose has practiced Optometry in Hamilton, New Zealand, for the last 37 years, specializing in contact lenses particularly keratoconus and post graft, and is the designer of Rose K lens. The Rose K lens was awarded the prestigious "Creative Design and Process Award" by the CLMA (USA) in 2000 for innovation in lens design and manufacturing process to the enhancement of the contact lens industry.
