What is the EVO Viva ICL?

The EVO Viva ICL (EVO Viva) is an implantable lens that has been clinically proven to improve common vision issues such as nearsightedness with or without presbyopia, loss of reading vision. This small lens is made from Collamer, a soft material that contains biocompatible collagen and works in harmony with the natural eye. EVO Viva is is added to the eye to provide sharp, clear vision while the eye’s natural lens remains in place.1

How Does EVO Viva ICL Vision Correction Surgery Work?

The EVO Viva is an extended depth of focus (EDOF) lens which creates a range of focus points to improve vision at multiple distances. This allows the EVO Viva to accommodate a number of vision needs, such as myopia (nearsightedness) and presbyopia, at once.

EVO Viva vision correction procedure is usually completed in less than 30 minutes. During this procedure, the EVO Viva lens is placed behind the iris (the colored part of the eye) and in front of the natural crystalline lens.

There are 3 simple steps to the EVO Viva procedure: 1) the doctor creates a small opening at the edge of the patient’s cornea, 2) EVO Viva is folded and inserted through this opening, 3) the doctor makes minute adjustments to ensure the lens is properly positioned in the eye.

Facts About EVO Viva ICL

  • EVO Viva is additive technology, so no corneal tissue is removed.
